Garage Tile Flooring
|
Garage tile flooring finds itself bit different than flooring the rest of your house. If your garage is an automotive and personal storage space you may not even use tiles. Concrete is the material of choice for utilitarian garages that are used for storage or work purposes. Now, if you will be using your garage for other purposes, tile can be a great choice. There are many uses for garage space. You can turn your garage into an art studio. Or maybe you just want extra space in which to hang out. No matter why you need the space, tile flooring can be a great addition.
Because your garage is not a primary living space, there's no reason to spend a fortune on expensive flooring. Laminate flooring is a great choice for your garage because it can be purchased for cheap, is durable and looks great. You can find vinyl laminate tiles in a variety of attractive colors and patterns. Many people like the look of hardwood or stone but would never consider it due to the cost and hassle. Laminate flooring makes it possible to enjoy the gorgeous look of wood or stone without all the expense and trouble.
One of the biggest selling points for laminate flooring in any area of your home is how easy it is to install. Laminate floors do not require any nails, screws or glue. The pieces simply snap together somewhat like those of a jigsaw puzzle. If your existing subfloor is concrete, you will need to install vinyl sheeting underneath your foam padding. After you've installed the vinyl sheeting and the foam padding, all you need to do is snap your laminate floors in place.
Garage tile flooring can spruce up any garage and make it more beautiful and liveable. You will be amazed at how big of a difference new flooring makes. Even if your garage is being used for work purposes or even storage tile floors can provide added insulation to the area. Speaking of insulation, some high quality laminate floors come with padding already attached. This saves a great deal of time and hassle. Some padding is thicker than others, depending on the style of flooring that you choose. In general, the thicker the padding the more it is going to cost.
